Journal - Session Six
I’ve never really questioned the law or its enforcers until recently, and its a feeling that I do not enjoy. It seems that the leader of the guards in this town is hiding information about the magistrate, which does not bode well for our investigations. Although I would like to give the benefit to someone who has protected the townsfolk (as far as I am aware), my companions have warned me not to be too trusting with the rest of the odd happenings we’ve seen so far.
Speaking of companions, we have new ones joining us on our work for Hope’s Light. A odd group which consists of a half or who calls himself Candy, a dwarf who seems very knowledgeable about brewing medicines, and.. Well, I know there’s a third, but for the life of me I can’t seem to remember – they’re very quiet and half the time you have to remind yourself they’re in the room (if you notice at all). They are quite adept at hiding their presence, which would be useful skill considering the plan we have in the morning.
We plan on setting out in the morning to investigate the caves beneath Hope’s Light. They promise to be filled to the brim with awful, bony nightmares and I for one am not exactly looking forward to encountering the creatures. I pray for Hieroneous to give me the strength to bring glory instead of despair from this unenviable task we plan to set upon.
