I couldn’t quite get a grasp of the world when I woke up. It was as if everything was in a fog, I wasn’t truly there. When the fog dissipated a slightly my head was throbbing, beating a steady rhythm behind my eyes. There isn’t much that makes me truly shed tears, however when the pain hit me I could feel the moisture build up at the corner of my eyes. I knew this pain, the shifting weather had finally got to me.
Being that the pain made it so I could hardly see straight, let alone wield my rapier or aim my bow. I would be useless in the caves so I waved the rest of the group off and holed up in my temporary quarters. I let sleep take me for the majority of the day, the chanting no longer a nuisance but more so a lullaby. I’m sure the rest will have plenty to tell me upon their return.
